A JetBlue pilot was taken into custody at Boston’s Logan International Airport just before he was scheduled to fly an aircraft to Paris, after officials discovered an outstanding warrant from North Carolina against him.
Jeremy Gudorf, a 33-year-old Ohio resident, was arrested Thursday night, on the verge of piloting a trans-Atlantic flight. Law enforcement acted just before 9 p.m., WBTV reported. The U.S. Customs and Border Protection, during a standard review of the flight’s manifest, identified Gudorf's active warrant that originated from Huntersville, North Carolina.
According to NBC News, a spokesperson for the Massachusetts State Police stated that after the Customs and Border Protection's review, a "lodged against a member of the flight crew who was detained." The Huntersville Police Department later confirmed Gudorf was wanted for second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The investigation into Gudorf began in October 2024 following a tip-off from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The case was moved forward in a court yesterday where Gudorf faced arraignment for the alleged offense. Live5News reported that Gudorf was preparing for the international flight to Paris, when he was apprehended by authorities moments before the flight's scheduled departure.
