Two employees at a restaurant in Culver City were subjected to a terrifying ordeal when a disruptive man assaulted them earlier in February. According to a KTLA report, the incident occurred on February 10 when Culver City Police Department officers responded to a call at about 3 p.m. on the 13400 block of Washington Boulevard. Employees tried to remove the man for causing a disruption, but he escalated the situation by jumping over the counter, entering the kitchen, and eventually harassing the restaurant staff.

Police stated the man was armed and threatening workers. Upon the arrival of the first officer at the scene, he saw the man aggressively advancing on a female employee. "The suspect was reported to be armed and threatening employees," as mentioned in a news release obtained by KTLA. The officer managed to intervene, placing himself between the assailant and the victim after the suspect failed to heed his commands.

Further investigations revealed that prior to the officer's arrival, the man had grabbed one of the female employees while they tried locking him out of the restaurant. He then apprehended another victim by jumping over the counter. According to a Culver City Police Department press release, these actions led to his arrest on sexual battery charges, and he was subsequently booked at the Culver City Jail.

The suspect remains in custody awaiting his next court appearance. The Culver City Police Department has urged anyone with information about this case to reach out to Public Information Officer Jennifer Atenza by phone at 310-253-6120 or via email at [email protected], as explained in the Nixle alert.
