
Las Vegas residents are mourning the loss of a 60-year-old man who died in a multi-vehicle crash last week. The victim, driving a 2000 Nissan Frontier, was pronounced dead at UMC trauma center, as confirmed by the Clark County Coroner's Office to the LVMPD Fatal Detail. This marks the 22nd traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for 2025.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department release, the crash, involving four vehicles, occurred at the intersection of Jones Blvd and Harmon Ave on Thursday last week. A Lexus ES 350 and a Scion TC were traveling southbound when the Nissan Frontier, attempting to cross on a flashing yellow arrow, collided with the two vehicles. The Nissan Frontier driver was later pronounced dead. Another driver suffered serious injuries, while the other two drivers reported no harm. Preliminary investigation revealed no signs of impairment.
After the collision, the Nissan was pushed into a 2003 Jeep Wrangler, which was stopped and waiting to turn. The Jeep's driver, Jay Murphy, and the Lexus's driver, Thang Pham, were unharmed. The driver of the Scion TC, Arby Bautista, 22, sustained serious injuries and was transported to the hospital.
