From managing social media pages, and ensuring City Cable LVTV broadcasts content worth captivating, to keeping residents informed through various city websites, the contributions of the Community Relations and Tourism Department bear testimony to the power of effective communication. In their hands, information shapes communities, spreads awareness, and sustains the lifeblood of public discourse. This acknowledgment comes amidst the tireless work they provide to support all seven "Big Moves" in the Lewisville 2025 vision plan.
Jennifer Bennerotte, Communications Director of Edina, Minnesota, and the reigning president of 3CMA shed light on the essence of public communicators in government. "As a public communicator, your impact is felt in various aspects of government operations. Whether it's spearheading public outreach and education campaigns during rate increase approvals, crafting media advisories for award ceremonies, or formulating strategic responses during crises, government communicators are the unsung heroes ensuring transparent and effective communication," the City of Lewisville's announcement quoted her saying.
