Lewisville Offers Free Workshop on Home Repair Grants and Resources for Community EnrichmentSource: Google Street View

Lewisville residents looking for a financial leg-up to spruce up their homes and foster community spirit have good news coming their way. A free workshop hosted by Lewisville Neighborhood Services at the Lewisville Public Library is slated for Tuesday, Feb. 11, beginning at 6:30 p.m., and will provide interested locals with the know-how on securing home repair resources and grants.

According to the City of Lewisville's announcement, the workshop will dig into various city-funded programs available to homeowners. Amongst the discussed topics will be the Property Enhancement Program—offering a 50 percent grant rebate for exterior property repairs, Love Your Block—a mini-grant that supports neighborhood initiatives, and the Neighborhood Enhancement Program, designed to beautify local areas with contributions up to $12,500.

For those who care about community improvement and neighborhood vitality, this event is notably part of a larger effort linked with the "Diverse and Thriving Neighborhoods" Big Move under the Lewisville 2025 vision plan. Such programs reflect the city's commitment to empowering its residents and enable them to take an active role in shaping the environment they inhabit.

Furthermore, additional workshops will be on offer throughout 2025, as detailed in the city's announcement, occurring monthly and strategically hosted at various locations, including the Gene Carey Animal Shelter and Adoption Center and the Lewisville Grand Theater. The initiative also extends to cater to East Lewisville/Castle Hills residents, with separate sessions scheduled at the Queen Margaret Community Center and multilingual workshops being prepared for Spanish and Chin speakers at Serve Lewisville.
