Last Sunday, 37-year-old Justin Lannigan fatally stabbed his landlord in Milwaukee. Lannigan, charged with intentional homicide, believed his landlord had installed surveillance cameras to spy on him, a suspicion he based on his "social media research" on platforms like TikTok and YouTube, according to FOX6 Now.
Lannigan reportedly invited his 74-year-old landlord, David Grosse, to fix a refrigerator before stabbing him about 30 times and choking him to death. Grosse had numerous lacerations, including to his head and neck, when found by a Milwaukee detective. Lannigan, who initially called 911, later surrendered to police in West Allis and received treatment for lacerations on his hands. Court filings reveal Lannigan was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and schizophrenia, and had become more reclusive in recent months, as reported by WISN.
Charles Hierrezuelo shared how Grosse helped him during homelessness, saying, "I stayed in his house 20 years ago because I was homeless. He let me stay there for free. I stayed for about two years. I got myself together," and added, "This didn't make sense to me." Lannigan's court appearance was set on Friday, with the case still developing, as stated by TMJ4.
