A deadly outbreak of gunfire shattered Philadelphia's Fairhill neighborhood last night, leaving one man dead and two teenagers, who were delivering food for DoorDash, injured. According to FOX 29, the shooting happened around 7:38 p.m. on the 2800 block of Reese Street.

The situation unfolded as the 16-year-old girl and the 18-year-old woman, both part of a DoorDash delivery team, found themselves caught in the crossfire of a suspected drug-related shootout between two groups. The man, aged 26, involved in the gunfight, sustained multiple gunshot injuries and was pronounced dead after being taken to Temple Hospital by police. In a statement obtained by NBC Philadelphia, Philadelphia Police Inspector D.F. Pace said "The crime scene consists of at least 30 spent shell casings from what looks like about three different caliber. There were at least multiple shooters here. At least three shooters."

The two teenage victims were transported to the hospital in a non-police vehicle. The 18-year-old suffered two gunshot wounds to her left thigh while the 16-year-old girl was hit once in her right thigh, as reported by The Inquirer. The two teens are currently in stable condition at Temple Hospital.

Inspector Pace noted several homes and multiple vehicles on the block were also struck by gunfire, emphasizing that "it does appear that one of the weapons was firing rifle rounds." While no weapons have been recovered and no arrests have been made yet, police are questioning the driver who transported the injured teens. Anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged to contact the Philadelphia police at 215-686-8270 or to submit an anonymous tip by calling 215-686-TIPS (8477), as mentioned by NBC Philadelphia.
