Raleigh residents interested in the shape of their community's streets will want to mark their calendars for March 25. The Raleigh Department of Transportation is hosting the final touchpoint meeting for the Five Points Streetscape and Safety Study. Set to take place from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at the Five Points Center for Active Adults on 2000 Noble Road, the event will highlight the study's findings and possibilities for future improvements in area.
Light refreshments will be served, making the session a casual environment for community members to learn more, voice their concerns, and get answers, directly from city officials. "This is your opportunity to learn about the latest updates on the project, ask questions, and provide feedback,” said the Department on the City of Raleigh website, anticipating an informative and interactive experience for attendees.
The agenda features a presentation complemented by interactive boards – tools designed to engage the attendees in understanding the outcomes of the study and what they could potentially mean for the neighborhood. The session promises to clarify how these findings might translate into tangible changes in the Five Points area, although, it should be noted, implementation details are not part of this current phase of the project.
For those unable to attend the meeting in person, or who desire to stay informed, updates and additional information on the Streetscape and Safety Study can be found on the project page. The page offers a wealth of information and resources, ensuring that everyone has the chance to be involved in the discussion over the future of Five Points, whether or not, they can make it to the face-to-face meeting.
In the spirit of continuing community dialogue, the City of Raleigh Department of Transportation states, "We look forward to hearing from you and discussing how we can continue to improve the Five Points area!"
