Santa Rosa Valentine's Eve Raid Nets 15 Pounds of Suspected Meth, Two Arrested on Felony ChargesSource: Santa Rosa Police Department

The Santa Rosa Police Department's Special Enforcement Team, in a concerted effort with detectives, executed a search warrant that unearthed a staggering amount of suspected narcotics and led to the apprehension of two individuals yesterday.

According to a social media post from Santa Rosa Police, the operation was carried out at approximately 11:30 p.m., specifically targeting a residence on Plata Court. The operation snared Kevin Pimienta-Martinez, 26, and Ivon Serna-Castrillo, 30, hailing from Santa Rosa. The fruits of the raid included approximately 15 pounds of what is suspected to be methamphetamine, discovered in a vehicle linked to Pimienta-Martinez, along with a box of .22 caliber ammunition.

Notably, Pimienta-Martinez's criminal history includes a conviction for narcotics sales and a current federal probation status, with provisions precluding the possession of ammunition. Parallel search warrants were executed at locations on Arthur Ashe Circle and East Cotati Avenue, the former yielding additional traces of suspected narcotics.

Both Pimienta-Martinez and Serna-Castrillo were booked on felony charges, including possession of narcotics for sales, transportation of narcotics, conspiracy, and, in Pimienta-Martinez's case, possessing ammunition against legal restriction, the Santa Rosa Police detailed. Ascribed bail enhancements set the financial stakes high at $250,000 for Pimienta-Martinez and $100,000 for Serna-Castrillo.
