
Philadelphians can expect a string of sunny days ahead, according to the National Weather Service, with the current chill giving way to warmer temperatures as the week progresses. The forecast calls for clear skies and a high of 41 degrees today with calm winds from the west. An almost frosty evening will then set in, as temperatures dip to around 29 degrees under gradually clearing clouds.
As the weekend unfolds, the city will bask in sunlight once again, with tomorrow's high expected to hover around 46 degrees, accompanied by gentle west winds. The pattern of clear nights and sunny days is set to continue into early next week, with Monday’s forecast suggesting partly sunny skies and temperatures reaching a comfortable 52 degrees. However, the warmth brings its own companion, as humidity levels are predicted to rise in the coming days.
The NWS anticipates the mercury will climb higher, reaching up to 57 degrees by Tuesday. While overcast conditions may loom largely, they will be intermittently pierced by sunnier spells. By Wednesday, the city should see mostly sunny conditions again with a high around 53 degrees, offering a brief respite before a chance of showers enters the picture on Thursday. The day's high is forecasted to mirror Wednesday's, but with a 50% chance of rain drizzling over the city.
Heading into the end of next week, the weather is expected to make a subtle shift, the cloudy night skies will be somewhat clearer. although the temperatures could drop to about 39 degrees. "A chance of showers" is lurking for Thursday night, and this could continue into Friday, maintains the NWS, with precipitation odds standing at 40%. Nonetheless, glimpses of the sun are on the horizon for Friday, granting a partly sunny day with a high near 48 degrees to round out the forecast period.
