In a recent social media update, the White Settlement Police Department shared a remarkable statistic from their January crime report. In a post that delineated various metrics of their monthly operations, the department highlighted a significant data point: the absence of violent crime reports for the entire month.
While the absence of violent crime is a notable highlight, the overview did not skimp on other details, offering a comprehensive snapshot of the department's January activity. Calls for service totaled 2,041 for the month, with officers making 49 arrests. Traffic stops were recorded at 303, and the number of crash reports was relatively low at six. On the property crime front, though, there were 20 incidents predominantly driven by several retail thefts - a reminder that not all is quiet on the western front, as it were.
The White Settlement Police Department also provided insights into their engagement with the community, reporting that 17 community events took place in January. These events are likely part of the department's attempt to maintain communal ties and ensure a collaborative effort towards public safety and crime prevention.
