A Wilmington man tied to the Exit 4 gang indictment has been apprehended and returned to Delaware to face a slew of charges, as detailed in a recent release shared by Wilmington Police. Nasiir Watson, the 23-year-old defendant connected to the case, which encompasses over a hundred charges levied against ten individuals, appeared in New Castle County Superior Court on January 28—this appearance coming after his extradition with his bail set at a substantial $1,620,000 cash.

Watson's charges are numerous and grave; they include Murder first-degree, multiple counts of Attempted Murder First Degree, Conspiracy First Degree and Second Degree, Illegal Gang Participation, and several firearms-related charges, not to mention the offense of Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony; in a statement shared by the Wilmington Police, Attorney General Kathy Jennings expressed gratitude to all involved in the manhunt and arrest stating, “I am thankful to the investigators, prosecutors and police whose hard work led to the defendant’s arrest,” and she also acknowledged the weight of the situation, saying, “This is an important step toward achieving justice for these victims. Our hearts are with their loved ones at this difficult time.”

The indictment links Watson along with eight other Exit 4 gang members to a string of violent acts between January 2020 and December 2024, which include the fatalities of Latahesia Hill, Khalil Ameer-Bey, and Kwamir Wise; additionally, he and his alleged associates are accused of attempting to take several other lives during that period, though Watson is not battling just these allegations, as he also faces separate charges in New Jersey where he is currently detained.
