South winds will blow at 6 to 13 mph, with gusts that could reach as high as 23 mph, reported the National Weather Service. The incoming rain could accumulate between a quarter and a half an inch.
The rain isn't expected to let up until tonight, before 11 pm, with a low temperature dropping to around 38 degrees. The northwest wind is set to increase, blowing at 8 to 16 mph and potentially gusting up to a burly 30 mph. Once again, the chance of precipitation will stand at 80%, and newer, albeit lesser, precipitation ranging between a tenth and a quarter of an inch may occur. Friday will bring relief in the form of sunshine and a high of 57, but the wind remains steadfast, the northwest gusts could surge as much as 32 mph breathing a dry but blustery reprieve into our atmosphere.
The weekend forecast maintains a dance between sunshine and the possibility of showers, with only a slight 20% chance of rain after 2 pm on Saturday and a more tranquil setting for Saturday night's mostly clear skies and a low of 37. Sunday promises mostly sunny conditions with a high near 55, leading into a Sunday night that tempts with a 50% chance of showers and a low around 45.
As a new week dawns, so does the certainty of more rain. Monday showers are likely mainly before 2 pm as the headquarters of the clouds lingers with a 70% chance of precipitation and a high nearing 65 degrees. In comparison, Monday night might see an easing of rain before 8 pm and a mostly cloudy cold front settling in around 44. The weather pendulum swings back towards partial sunlight on Tuesday with a high of 59. As we tread closer to Wednesday, the skies may yet open again—a 30% chance of rain looms over a partly sunny day with a maximum temperature hovering near 55.
