
A tragic incident at a work site in Commerce has resulted in the death of a construction worker early Saturday morning as he was fatally crushed under a concrete block, authorities confirmed. The Los Angeles County Fire Department was called to the 7000 block of Bandini Boulevard after midnight, where they discovered the man beneath the concrete mass, reports KTLA.
The man, a 60-year-old Hispanic worker, was pronounced dead at the scene by arriving paramedics and he has not yet been identified publicly the incident which occurred at Strategic Materials, Inc., appeared to be an accident according to initial investigations by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, as per information obtained by ABC7. Officials have not yet disclosed details on whether the incident was intentional or accidental, raising questions about the circumstances around the tragic event.
