The local library system has launched a series of free workshops to ease the prospect of retirement for those navigating the prospect. As reported by the City of Fort Worth, Carson J. Graves, a certified financial planner and top brass at the Retirement Education Center, will conduct 90-minute sessions for adults aged 55 and older seeking retirement advice. Graves is expected to cover a range of topics, including maximizing Social Security benefits and strategies for reducing taxes on retirement income.
The library system's initiative responds to the common anxieties and plethora of questions that often accompany retirement planning. These sessions, led by Carson J. Graves, will leverage his professional experience and the collective expertise of his partners. With three scheduled dates across various library branches, the program seeks to offer accessibility and guidance to those on the cusp of retirement, and it is said to be focused on providing "fully formed retirement plans."
Interested individuals are encouraged to attend one of the three sessions: 6 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the East Regional Library at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, at the Southwest Regional Library; or 6 p.m. Thursday, July 31, at the Vivian J. Lincoln Library. These classes offer a prime opportunity for future retirees to gather valuable information without the burden of cost.
