The Hemet Police Department has renewed their call to the public for assistance in solving the 2014 murder of Dori De Ann Jamison, a 47-year-old woman found deceased in her trailer. According to a statement obtained by CBS News Los Angeles, the tragedy unfolded on March 2, 2014, when the Hemet Fire Department responded to a call at an RV park on Lyon and Acacia avenues. Jamison, who suffered by strangulation, was discovered face down and had already died.

Prevailing over the initial silence, the Cold Case Unit is deeply invested in unearthing any fragment of evidence that can help the case, which has led nowhere for over a decade. Originally, after Jamison's tragic end, police gained knowledge from interviews with friends, family, and neighbors, revealing that Jamison had recently concluded a relationship with her boyfriend and had commenced a relationship with a new man, as per information provided by the ABC7 report.

The case, which stirred again with expectations of fresh leads, gave no signs of a struggle or forced entry into Jamison's home. It was also noted that the deceased was last known to have talked with her mother on March 19, 2014, around 7:30 p.m.

The ex-boyfriend of Jamison, concerned after days of silence, arrived to check in on her, finding the trailer's door unresponsive to his knocks. As told by the Hemet Police Department's Instagram post, he entered along with some neighbors who accompanied him, and found the lifeless body of Jamison.

Investigators and the Homicide Cold Case Unit remain committed to resolving this case. They implore anyone wielding information, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, to contact the Homicide Cold Case Unit at 951-765-3898 or send an email to [email protected]
