The 10th annual Military Agriculture Tour has opened registration for those interested: active duty, transitioning personnel, veterans, and their spouses are all invited to get a first-hand look at the local agriculture scene. According to a recent statement by the Hillsborough County UF/IFAS Extension Service, the tour is set to offer a comprehensive overview of the agricultural diversity within the area.
The one-day event on the calendar will kick off at 8 a.m. and wrap up around 4 p.m., all for the cost of $5 per person – a fee that includes lunch and bus transportation to each stop in the tour. Attendees will have the chance to visit a variety of sites like a tropical aquaculture farm, Astin Farms, and the UF/IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, among other key agricultural operations in Hillsborough County.
