Four suspects have been apprehended by Lake Elsinore authorities on charges related to an attempted murder case dating back to late last year. According to official reports, the Lake Elsinore Sheriff's Station patrol deputies had responded to the incident in December of 2024, where they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed, indicated that the attack occurred while returning home from a local store.
Following an intensive inquiry by the Lake Elsinore Station's Special Enforcement Team and the Region 4 Gang Task Force, the investigation revealed that a local street gang was allegedly behind the conspiracy and execution of the assault. Law enforcement's probe culminated in February 2025 with multiple search warrants and consequent arrests of all implicated parties.
The individuals arrested include a 17-year-old male from Lake Elsinore, who has been charged with attempted murder. Robert Flores, 18, Jonathan Juarez, 19, and Alberto Garcia, 20 — all hailing from Lake Elsinore as well — face charges of conspiracy and attempted murder. "Region 4 Gang Task Force will be seeking gang related enhancements for this incident," as mentioned in the official statement, indicating a potential increase in penalties due to the alleged gang connections.
To underline the severity of their stance, the Lake Elsinore Station and the Region 4 Gang Task Force have expressed a "zero-tolerance" policy toward gang-related crimes.
