A recent traffic collision resulted in the 38th traffic-related fatality for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction in 2025. The crash occurred on the evening of Saturday, March 22, when a 2025 Yamaha R7 motorcycle struck a 2005 Lexus LS430. The motorcyclist, who has yet to be identified, was traveling at a high rate of speed along W. Lake Mead Boulevard, west of Del Webb Boulevard, at approximately 6:19 p.m. when the incident took place, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD).

Investigative evidence and witness statements have indicated that the Lexus, driven by 80-year-old Susan Cezar of Las Vegas, was executing a left turn into a private drive when it was hit by the motorcycle. Ejected from his bike, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries, while Susan and her passenger, Nino Cezar, aged 84, sustained minor injuries. Both of the Lexus occupants were treated and released from the University Medical Center's Trauma Unit where, despite life-saving measures, the motorcyclist was later pronounced dead.

The LVMPD's Collision Investigation Section is actively investigating the tragic incident. The driver of the Lexus reportedly showed no signs of impairment at the time of the crash, adding a grim layer of normalcy to an already somber situation. To assist in their inquiry, authorities urge anyone with information about the collision to come forward.

The identities of those involved are still being processed, with the motorcyclist's family yet to be notified. The LVMPD has confirmed the vehicles involved were a 2025 Yamaha R7 motorcycle and a 2005 Lexus LS430.
