
Last Saturday, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue team responded to a rescue operation at Red Springs. A climber sustained an ankle injury while climbing Happy Acres. Fire Department officials arrived first, located the climber, and coordinated with Search and Rescue teams, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue.
The situation escalated beyond the fire department's initial response, leading Search and Rescue officers and Search and Rescue Mountain Rescue volunteers to assist. "It was ultimately determined to request AIR1 for extraction." Using a hoist system, AIR1 lifted the climber and transported them to a nearby BLM fire station, where a ground ambulance provided further medical treatment, as stated by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Search and Rescue Instagram page, a climber was assisted by Search and Rescue teams and Fire Department officials after an incident near Las Vegas. Emergency responders worked together to ensure a safe outcome. The individual's current condition has not been disclosed.
