Country music aficionados, mark your calendars for a grand display of twang and heartstrings at Put-in-Bay this August. According to Cleveland.com, the two-day Bash on the Bay music festival will feature headliners Luke Bryan on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and Sam Hunt on Thursday, Aug. 14. The duo will perform at the Put-in-Bay Airport, with the event expected to attract up to 40,000 fans.
Luke Bryan, who is no stranger to the country music scene with titles like "Crash My Party" and "Drink a Beer" to his name, aims to make up for the lost time after a weather hiccup led to the cancellation of his previous performance at the festival in 2023. This year, he takes the stage with Ashley McBryde, Kin Faux, and Alex Miller to open the first day. As per WKYC, the tickets are set to sell quickly starting March 21 at 10 a.m. on eTix.com.
Meanwhile, Sam Hunt, known for hits like "Body Like a Back Road" and "Kinfolks," will headline the second day with support acts including Russell Dickerson and Bret Michaels. The lineup, also featuring up-and-coming artists Austin Williams and Preston Cooper, promises a blend of old-school rock and contemporary country charm. With accommodations on the island notoriously scant, those planning to attend are advised to book their stays swiftly to avoid disappointment.
The festival, now in its eighth iteration, brings together a legacy of country and rock-infused performances under the summer sun. In a statement provided by Cleveland19, 614 Events Limited, the organizers behind Bash on the Bay, emphasized that the event "regularly draws 35-40,000 people to the island over two days." Not to be overlooked, late-night ferry service from Jet Express and Miller Ferry will temporarily be available for those looking to escape to mainland serenity post-concert revelry.
