A tragic incident claimed the life of a 42-year-old man last night on the West Seattle Bridge. Seattle police's Traffic Collision Investigation Squad (TCIS) detectives are currently examining the details of a fatal collision that occurred near the Delridge Way Southwest off-ramp, as reported on the SPD Blotter website.
Preliminary information suggests that no other vehicles were involved in the accident, which happened around 8:03 p.m. The Seattle Fire Department promptly responded at the scene, where they pronounced the man dead, as detailed by the SPD.
As standard procedure dictates, the area was sealed off by the police to allow TCIS detectives to carry out their investigative work at the collision site. A motorcycle was impounded from the scene, while the King County Medical Examiner is handling the custody of the deceased.
