Two men from Michigan have entered guilty pleas in the case of the violent robbery that traumatized a local comic book haven in Lower Southampton Township, a small community reeling from the crime that disrupted its sense of peace in September 2022. Zackery Maximus Tucker, a 23-year-old from Quincy, acknowledged his role in the offenses of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, and aggravated assault; the consequences of his plea meted out by Common Pleas Judge Stephen A. Corr included a state prison sentence ranging from five to 12 years.
According to a release by Bucks County Government, Tucker has also been barred from contacting the victim, the victim's family, and the Comic Collection store located at 83 Bustleton Pike, Feasterville mandated to pay restitution in the amount of $20,029.88, a sum not simply quantifying stolen goods but symbolizing a fragment of peace pilfered from a community. His accomplice, 36-year-old Caleb James-Lorenze Simpson of Clarklake, copped to the same charges with sentencing deferred until the spring bloom of May 2.
In court, the owner of the Comic Collection Store described how a recent break-in has severely impacted his business and life. He explained that the crime has affected not just him, but the entire community. His statement, provided to Bucks County Government, emphasized the broader consequences of crime on local residents.
