At the Marcus Performing Arts Center in the heart of Downtown Milwaukee, County Executive David Crowley laid out his vision for the region's future in his 2025 State of the County Address. Crowley's focus was clear – to emphasize the strength and necessity of partnerships in propelling Milwaukee and, by extension, Wisconsin toward prosperity. He stated, "Partnerships lead Milwaukee forward. And because of partnerships, Milwaukee is leading Wisconsin forward," according to a press release on Milwaukee County’s official website.
In his address, Crowley underscored the milestones achieved under his administration, highlighting how collaboration has been instrumental in spearheading projects across various sectors. Efforts from the Airport to the Zoo were showcased, revealing a tapestry of initiatives designed to serve workers and families better, spur economic development, ensure public safety, and enhance services in health, housing, and transit. "There is no bright future for Wisconsin without coming together, listening to one another, and finding common ground to get things done," Crowley told attendees, hinting that his administration's legacy might to well depend on these partnerships.
Public transit, another critical area, was not left out in Crowley's ambitious partnership narrative. Investments and partnerships in transit are being hailed as a way to connect residents more efficiently to employment and opportunities. "I am proud we are witnessing the results of our partnership-centered approach. By working together, we can achieve great things," declared Crowley, suggesting that his administration is committed to continue driving these initiatives forward with rigor and resolve.
