According to NBC Los Angeles, Paulisin, who is known in the area as a transient, was subsequently booked on suspicion of attempted murder, resisting arrest, and assault with a deadly weapon. Described as 5-foot-10, weighing around 160 pounds with brown hair, blue eyes, and a beard; Paulisin was located after authorities released a photo and description of him shortly after the attack.

The deputy had called for help after being stabbed, and was able to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries before being released from the hospital, KTLA mentions. "He will be booked for attempted murder, resisting arrest, and assault w/ deadly weapon," the department added.
