The Philadelphia Commission on Human Relations (PCHR) along with the Mayor’s Office of Muslim Engagement and Peace Islands Institute Pennsylvania are set to host their annual Interfaith Iftar dinner on Wednesday, right within the historic walls of Philadelphia City Hall in the Mayor’s Reception Room, initiating the event at 5:30 p.m., with this year’s theme being “Nostra Aetate (In Our Time): Finding Common Ground & Understanding.”

The dinner, which invites locals of various beliefs, aims to encourage discussions and connections over shared meals, reflecting the enduring spirit of Ramadan, which began on February 28 and is predicted to end on March 30. “We are a nation shaped by the contributions of immigrants and enriched by the diversity of our faiths. At a time when division seems to define us, the interfaith Iftar offers a unique opportunity to come together, fostering understanding, dialogue, and mutual respect," said Randy Duque, Acting Executive Director of PCHR.

For those interested in participating in the event, registration details are available on the PCHR’s event announcement
