
Philadelphia resident Nahum Trader was arrested in Wilmington after police discovered he was carrying a loaded firearm during a routine traffic stop on Monday last week. The 26-year-old was pulled over around 10:14 p.m. on the 800 block of Morrow Street for failing to observe a stop sign and traveling against traffic on a one-way street, as per the Wilmington Police Department release on nixle.
When officers approached Trader, they found him in possession of the firearm, leading to a confrontation in which Trader initially resisted arrest. The situation was resolved, and Trader was detained without further incident, according to reports.
Trader faces multiple charges, including traffic offenses and firearm-related charges, such as Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, and Resisting Arrest. His bail was set at $26,200, cash-only, during his arraignment in Justice of the Peace Court 20. Trader is currently being held at the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution.
