Philadelphia's efforts to combat fraud and corruption in local government are intensifying, with officials urging residents to report any signs of misconduct. The City of Philadelphia's Office of the Inspector General (OIG) highlights warning signs such as employees accepting bribes or engaging in fake billing practices that waste city resources.
According to the City of Philadelphia release, residents should watch for signs of misconduct, including city workers accepting bribes, misuse of funds, fake billing, nepotism, employees lying about work hours, violating residency requirements, and abuse of power. The OIG encourages residents to report any suspicions by phone, email, or mail.
