Pinellas County is reaching out to its residents, calling them to voice their opinions through a newly launched quality of life survey. Officials have set up the National Community Survey to collect feedback on various aspects of day-to-day living, from public safety and infrastructure to government services and the local economy. If you’ve got a stake in the county's future, the municipality wants to hear from you.
The survey kicks off yesterday and will be open for participation until April 10. Residents can easily access the online questionnaire in both English, and Spanish by visiting the Pinellas County website. Commission Chair Brian Scott emphasized the value of public input, stating, "The National Community Survey uses your feedback to help our Board and County staff identify priorities that will improve the quality of life in Pinellas County."
According to the website, the survey is endorsed by both the International City/County Management Association and the National League of Cities. It's touted as a tool that can facilitate enhanced service delivery, strengthen communication between leaders and constituents and guide strategic planning—especially when it comes to the nitty-gritty of budget allocation. As Brian Scott put it on Pinellas County, "If you live or work in Pinellas County, we want to hear from you as we map out our community’s future."
