Per the National Weather Service, today will be sunny, boasting a high near 78 degrees. Winds are expected to remain tame, shifting to a southwest direction at 5 to 7 mph come afternoon.
As night falls, residents will witness a partly cloudy sky with temperatures hovering around a muggy 64 degrees. However, the calm wind will continue its gentle sweep through the city. Looking ahead to Sunday, forecasts predict mostly sunny skies with highs climbing to the low 80s. A gentle southwest wind will keep things moving at a 5 to 10 mph pace.
Sunday night, however, those clear skies are set to give way to a 60% chance of showers, with downpours mainly expected after 1am. The temperatures are slated to lower slightly to around 67 degrees with a south southwest wind blowing at 7 to 9 mph.
Coming into Monday, there’s a predicted 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms, while the high will take a dip to approximately 72 degrees. It's set to be breezy, with a west wind blowing at 8 to 18 mph—and some gusts potentially reaching up to 25 mph. The evening then promises clearer skies and a cooler temperature, dropping to around 55 degrees as the north northwest wind settles at 7 to 10 mph.
As for the rest of the week, expect plenty of sunshine, highs in the mid-70s to low 80s, and light winds. Wednesday night's mostly clear skies will proceed a 20 percent chance of showers on Thursday. By the week’s close on Friday, forecasts suggest mostly sunny conditions resuming and highs topping out around 82 degrees.
