Walgreens has agreed to a $100 million settlement over allegations of overcharging for generic drugs, though it has not admitted wrongdoing. The settlement, which requires a fairness hearing on September 10, has been preliminarily approved. "We admit no liability and believe these claims never had any merit," a Walgreens spokesperson said, as per Reuters. The lawsuit involved the now-discontinued Prescription Savings Club. Walgreens is also planning to close about 1,200 locations in the coming years.
