
Tragedy struck on a Wilmington street when a 16-year-old boy, now identified as Troy Kirkland, succumbed to injuries from a shooting that took place early in the evening, a recent police investigation has revealed. The incident, which saw Kirkland grievously wounded, occurred around 6:27 p.m. on Monday on the 200 block of West 25th Street.
The Wilmington Police Department responded promptly to the scene of the crime, where the young victim was found and promptly transported to the hospital in a critical condition. The police, now spearheaded by Detective James Rook, are urging anyone with information about this devastating occurrence to step forward, seeking to piece together the events that led up to Kirkland's untimely death.
