According to 6abc, the child, accompanied by his 21-year-old sister, was brought into St. Christopher's Hospital on Saturday by private vehicle, sporting a laceration on his left hand. The child's sister had taken him to a residence on the 500 block of East Thelma Street where the injury occurred. It was there that the child stumbled upon a gun and unintentionally discharged it.
Details surrounding the ownership of a gun and potential charges against a 24-year-old man detained at the scene are still hazy.
