A Chester County man faces potential life imprisonment after being indicted on charges related to child pornography, U.S. Attorney David Metcalf announced. Aniruth Kuppusamy, 25, from Chesterbrook, is accused of manufacturing, receiving, and possessing child pornography, as well as using the internet to entice a minor into sexual activity, as reported by the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Court documents state that Kuppusamy allegedly engaged in disturbing conversations with a minor, referred to as Minor #1, and solicited sexually explicit videos from her, despite knowing she was under 18. Kuppusamy is also charged with possessing child pornography found on an iPhone 15 that had been shipped using interstate and foreign commerce.

The Department of Justice's Project Safe Childhood, launched in 2006, aims to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse by coordinating efforts to locate and prosecute internet-based offenders. More information is available on the Project Safe Childhood website.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with the case being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Danielle Bateman. According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, the indictment, information, or criminal complaint represents an accusation. The defendant is considered innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law. If convicted, Kuppusamy could face a minimum of 15 years in prison and potentially life imprisonment.
