DC's Metropolitan Police Department is currently investigating an incident where an unmarked police car, with an officer inside, was fired upon multiple times. As reported by FOX 5 DC, The shooting occurred late Saturday night in an alley on the 900 block of Savannah Street, Southeast; thankfully, the MPD officer escaped unharmed, and no other injuries were reported in the area.

This situation escalated when two juvenile suspects, last seen fleeing the scene on Rideshare bikes, became the focus of a police search, and as of now, these individuals remain at large with no arrests having been made, this much was confirmed by WJLA. The shooting occurred at approximately 8:09 p.m., but this shooting wasn't the only violent incident in the vicinity that night, with a prior occurrence happening just minutes before.

WUSA9 reports that at 7:54 p.m., mere blocks away at the intersection of 6th Street and Mississippi Avenue, Southeast, officers responded to another shooting. That incident left two men with gunshot wounds—one victim with a wound to his lower body, who was hospitalized conscious and breathing, and the second suffering a graze wound.
