In an expansion aimed at broadening the scope of its care, the Rose Andom Center in Denver, which has previously been a refuge for those impacted by domestic violence, has recently augmented its services to include support for sexual assault survivors. A collaboration with several local entities, including the Denver District Attorney's Office, the Blue Bench, and the Denver Police Department, has made it possible for survivors of sexual abuse to access a variety of resources seamlessly in one place.
This updated support system, as stated by the Denver Police Department, consists of "Crisis intervention, Legal + medical resources, Advocacy & support" and the option to report to police, but only at the survivor's discretion. Noted for its establishment of a 'centralized, safe space,' the center's initiative underscores a commitment to providing care and dignity to every person they serve.
The Rose Andom Center, positioned at 1330 Fox St in Denver, opens its doors for walk-ins Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 5 PM, and on Friday from 9 AM until noon. Further assistance can be sought by calling (720) 337-4400. In a world where the path to healing is often obstructed by fragmented systems of support, the integrative approach offered by the Rose Andom Center reflects a holistic understanding of a survivor's needs.
