
Four juvenile suspects have been taken into custody in Culver City following an attempted armed carjacking, as reported by the Culver City Police Department and KTLA. The incident unfolded around 5:00 p.m. on March 27 on the 6100 block of Sepulveda Boulevard, where the suspects allegedly approached a man and attempted to commandeer his vehicle, with one youth brandishing a firearm from his waistband when the others encircled the purported victim.
Details from the incident reveal that after the victim claimed the car was not his, the four suspects fled southbound on Sepulveda Boulevard. This information was detailed in a post by the Culver City Police Department and echoed in a post. Responding officers conducted a search, during which one suspect, noticing police presence, began to flee towards the 90 Freeway overpass. Continually reaching for his waistband, the police quickly apprehended him as the chase ensued. Concurrently, two other suspects were detained nearby without further incident, and the fourth was arrested shortly thereafter.

The four suspects, all confirmed to be juveniles, were detained, and a search led to the discovery of the loaded firearm involved in the attempted carjacking. The gun, loaded with a chambered round, heightened the gravity of the situation, though no injuries were reported as a result of the encounter.
While the victim's identity remains undisclosed by authorities, the swift response by Culver City officers prevented the escalation of potential violence.
