
Las Vegas will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a free art exhibit and reception at the Clark County Government Center on May 2 at 5 p.m. The event, held at the Rotunda Gallery, is sponsored by Clark County Commissioner William McCurdy II, the Consulate of Mexico in Las Vegas, and the Federacion de Poblanos en Las Vegas, according to the Clark County.
Visitors can see cultural performances and food while supplies last at the exhibit. The event focuses on the traditions of Cinco de Mayo. "Cinco de Mayo is a significant day that honors the rich history and vibrant culture of Mexico," said Commissioner McCurdy. He expressed support for the partnership with organizations that bring the free art exhibit to the community, as reported by the Clark County.
The exhibit, located at 500 S. Grand Central Parkway in downtown Las Vegas, will be open to the public on May 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. It features Mexican heritage through the work of local and regional artists. The event is free to attend and aims to educate the public about Cinco de Mayo and Mexican history, as stated by the Clark County.
