Eye health is crucial, and the Lewisville Public Library is collaborating with the Highland Village Lions Club to provide the community with free vision screenings. Taking place tomorrow from 10 a.m. until noon in the library's small conference room, these screenings are essential for early detection of vision problems. These quick, non-invasive screenings are open to individuals starting at the age of 6 months and, according to the City of Lewisville's announcement, do not require pre-registration and are conducted by state-certified Lions Club screeners.
Meanwhile, those looking for a dose of outdoor literature can attend the Story Stroll Storytime at Central Park. Ideal for families and children of all ages, this event is set for Friday from 9-9:30 a.m., and will continue on the first Friday of each month.
The library is also reaching out to adult English learners with its English Conversation Hour. For those looking to practice their conversational English skills, this event provides a casual group setting to do just that. Scheduled for Friday, from noon to 1 p.m. in the Crawford Meeting Room, the session encourages participants to engage with fellow learners, and snacks and light refreshments will be provided. This initiative, open to speakers of all levels, underscores the library's commitment to enriching community members' language capabilities.
