
The Long Beach Police Department is calling for the public's assistance in locating a suspect involved in a hit-and-run collision that occurred last month and left a driver with moderate injuries, as reported by CBS News. The incident, which unfolded on the morning of March 26 at the intersection of Del Amo Boulevard and Brayton Avenue, involved a dark-colored Toyota pickup and a silver Hyundai, according to the police.
A release from the LBPD detailed that the suspect, after the collision, "exited the vehicle, examined the damage, then returned to his vehicle and drove away, northbound on Brayton Avenue." The suspect is described as a heavy-set man with brown hair and a beard, last seen wearing a sweatshirt, multi-colored pajama bottoms, and light-colored "Croc" style shoes, CBS News reported.
According to the Long Beach Police Department's press release, the victim was transported to the hospital by Long Beach Fire Department personnel with non-life-threatening injuries. The LBPD is seeking any information regarding the identity of the driver or the whereabouts of the dark-colored Toyota pickup truck involved.
