
A fire broke out last evening in the Watts neighborhood of Los Angeles, initially engulfing a vehicle and a shed before threatening to spread to nearby homes. However, thanks to the quick and coordinated efforts of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the situation was brought under control with no injuries reported.
The fire was reported at 10962 S Anzac Avenue, under incident number 1408. LAFD Spokesman Brian Humphrey confirmed that 32 firefighters from various stations, including FS 65, Batt 13, and South Bureau, responded swiftly to the scene. Within 25 minutes, the fire was confined and fully extinguished, preventing further damage to a neighboring one-story house that had begun to catch fire.
The blaze, which initially affected a vehicle, shed, and debris, was swiftly contained before it could cause significant harm to the surrounding residential area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among either the residents or the responding firefighters, marking the operation a success despite the potential for greater destruction.
