
The 50th Annual Public Safety Awards Breakfast in Montgomery County will bring together political leaders and community figures to honor local public safety officials. The event, set for Monday next week at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel and Conference Center, will be attended by U.S. Congressman Jamie Raskin, Maryland Governor Wes Moore, Comptroller Brooke Lierman, County Executive Marc Elrich, County Council President Kate Stewart, and other local leaders.
According to the Montgomery County, this marks the first in-person ceremony since the COVID-19 pandemic. Awards, including the Valor Awards, will be presented to public safety officials nominated by Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service, the Department of Police, the Sheriff's Office, the Department of Correction and Rehabilitation, the Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security, and the Maryland-National Capital Park Police.
The event is the largest public safety gathering in the region and will recognize individuals for their bravery and service. The names of the award recipients will be revealed during the breakfast.
