Pinellas County residents have the opportunity to volunteer for a two-year term on the CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas (CSHP) Workforce Development Board. The deadline to apply is 3 p.m. on May 5, as per the Pinellas County release.
CSHP focuses on creating a business-driven workforce system that meets the needs of both citizens and businesses in Hillsborough and Pinellas counties. The board is responsible for tasks like developing the annual budget, selecting training service providers, and working with CareerSource Florida Region 28.
There are eight openings, including six from the business sector, one from the workforce sector, and one from the education and training sector. To be eligible, applicants must be residents and registered voters in Pinellas County, though exceptions apply for certain categories. Board members serve on a volunteer basis and must file an annual financial disclosure. Appointments will be made by the CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas Consortium.
