
The National Weather Service in Raleigh, NC has provided a detailed forecast for the coming week, reporting fair conditions with a current temperature of 56°F and calm winds. The humidity rests at 44%, and visibility extends for a full 10 miles.
Today's outlook is sunny with an expected high near 66, and winds traveling west at 7 mph, reports the NWS. Tonight's forecast predicts increasing clouds, with temperatures lowering to around 46 degrees and southwest winds blowing gently at 3 to 5 mph. Heading into Monday, Raleigh should anticipate sunny skies with temperatures soaring to near 83 and southwest winds picking up to 7 to 13 mph, introducing gusts that could reach as high as 24 mph.
On Tuesday, the forecast includes a slight chance of showers in the afternoon. Nonetheless, the day will be partly sunny with a high around 73, while gusty winds from the west may reach 23 mph. By nightfall, Tuesday will clear, leading to a low around 46. The following days, Wednesday to Saturday show a settled pattern of sunny skies and highs ranging from the mid-60s to the mid-80s.
In addition to the weekly forecast, the NWS also issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for central North Carolina, including the counties of Granville, Vance, Warren, Franklin, Wake, Harnett, Scotland, Hoke, and Cumberland. "Wind gusts of 30 or 40 mph combined with low relative humidity of 25 to 30 percent may result in an increased fire danger risk," the NWS cautions. Spotter activation, however, is not anticipated at this time.
