The Warner Center area of Woodland Hills is set to undergo a significant transformation with the planned development of Rams Village, a 52-acre mixed-use neighborhood that will include the Los Angeles Rams headquarters, training facilities, and much more. According to NBC Los Angeles, the Kroenke Organization announced the ambitious project, which will encompass a combination of residential units, retail spaces, entertainment venues, and office buildings within the community.

Stan Kroenke, the Rams owner, emphasized the team's commitment to the city, conveyed through a vibrant new enclave manifesting open spaces accessible to the public and a variety of entertainment options. "As we embark on our tenth season back in Los Angeles, we remain committed to helping shape the future of this great city," Kroenke said in a statement. The development is not only expected to serve as the Rams' permanent base but also aims to bring new energy and excitement to the community.

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass lauded the initiative for its potential to catalyze job creation, housing, and unique entertainment in the San Fernando Valley. "This proposed project will be transformative — bringing new jobs, new housing and a first-of-its-kind major entertainment venue to the San Fernando Valley," Mayor Bass told The Rams official website. Adjacent to the Rams' facilities, two indoor venues are proposed, capable of accommodating 5,000 and 2,500 spectators, slated to host various events from concerts to awards shows.

The proposal details the Rams' training center featuring existing grass fields, a new 150,000 square foot indoor practice arena, and seating for up to 2,500 guests. Designed by global architecture firm Gensler, the project seeks to integrate with the surrounding community through thoughtful landscaping, enhancing the connection with nearby Topanga Village and other locales. "Rams Village at Warner Center is particularly exciting for Gensler as it unites our experience designing sports training facilities with vibrant mixed-use districts," remarked Gensler Design Principal Eric Stultz in a statement, committed to bringing the district to life for the benefit of Woodland Hills, according to the Rams official website.

Beyond sports, Rams Village at Warner Center pledges to enrich the public sphere with over four acres of Publicly Accessible Open Space, aligning with the Warner Center 2035 Plan to create a pedestrian-friendly area. The project includes sustainable features like solar power, stormwater reuse, and aims for LEEDTM certification equivalency. Councilmember Bob Blumenfield expressed enthusiasm about the venture, emphasizing the substantial economic impact and job creation for the West Valley. "The jobs and economic development a project of this scale creates will be a game changer," Blumenfield relayed to the Rams official website. With the project's plan in motion, formal planning applications are expected to reach the City of Los Angeles in the coming months.
