
A shooting early Tuesday morning in the University District left a sorority house damaged, but no injuries were reported, according to the Seattle Police Department.
Officers responded shortly before 2:00 a.m. to reports of gunfire in the 4700 block of 19th Avenue Northeast. Police said the incident began when an individual confronted suspects attempting to steal a vehicle. One suspect reportedly attempted to fire a gun, which initially jammed. The suspects then left the area but returned moments later and fired multiple shots.
Several rounds struck the second-story window of a nearby sorority house. None of the residents were injured. Police searched the area but did not locate the suspects.
