Last night, Simi Valley Police Department's Special Enforcement Team apprehended 27-year-old Manuel De Los Santos, a reputed local gang member, for a felony violation related to his Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) condition under Assembly Bill 109. The arrest occurred around 8:30 PM in the parking lot of Kaiser Permanente at 3855 Alamo St, as reported by Nixle. In the process, officers discovered two handguns along with ammunition in De Los Santos's vehicle. One of the firearms was registered to an individual residing in Camarillo.
De Los Santos, whom the police had sought on account of a breach of his PRCS, was found sitting in a parked vehicle when police carried out the arrest. Underscoring Assembly Bill 109's 2011 mandate, which transferred supervision of select offenders from state prison to county oversight, De Los Santos will now face additional charges for possession of the loaded handguns.
