
Four individuals face charges following a robbery at a Chanel store in Northwest Washington, D.C., last Friday. The Metropolitan Police Department reported that the suspects stole over $200,000 worth of merchandise.
The robbery occurred around 1:54 p.m., when the suspects used a fire extinguisher to disorient store employees, assaulted a special police officer, and filled a duffel bag with stolen items. The suspects managed to escape in a vehicle, but police quickly apprehended them.
The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Devin Wingate of Suitland, MD, 30-year-old Tyrik Hagood of Northeast, D.C., 38-year-old Jamar Tolson, and 32-year-old James Crumpler-Nichols, both of whom have no fixed address. They face charges including robbery, burglary, and destruction of property. Tolson is also charged with simple assault.
