
Earlier today, a 16-year-old boy was left injured after gunfire broke out in Pittsburgh's East Liberty neighborhood. According to CBS News Pittsburgh, the incident occurred just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of North Euclid Avenue and East Liberty Boulevard. Police, arriving on the scene, found the teenager with a graze wound to his head, still alert and conversing with medics before being transported to the hospital in stable condition.
Investigators located the crime scene on Borland Street, around the corner from where the teenager was discovered. There, the Mobile Crime Unit recovered shell casings and began efforts to obtain video footage, with the hope that they could provide clues in an ongoing investigation. Reported by TribLIVE, a home on the 500 block of Borland Street suffered damage from the gunfire during the shooting, yet thankfully, no further injuries have been reported.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting as of yet, as confirmed by Pittsburgh Public Safety.
