Towson area businesses are wrestling with the aftermath of break-ins, and local police are turning to the community for assistance. According to WMAR-2 News, two establishments in the central Towson vicinity were the targets of burglary on March 31. The suspect, distinguished by a black O's jersey and black jeans, appeared unabashed before surveillance cameras, as seen in photos provided by the Baltimore County Police Department (BCoPD).
In an unusual move to brazenly avoid using a disguise, the suspect's face was left unobscured, potentially making identification easier for the public. The BCoPD has issued a plea for information with the hope that someone will recognize the bold burglar. Anyone with details that could assist in the identification of this individual is encouraged to make contact with detectives at 410-887-6296 or 410-887-4636 (INFO). Informants have the option to stay anonymous and may receive a reward for providing tips through Metro Crime Stoppers.
Backing the search efforts, the Baltimore County Police Department posted about the incident on Facebook, amplifying the call for public involvement. Metro Crime Stoppers of Maryland is offering rewards up to $2000 for information resulting in an arrest. The organization, which operates independently from both the BCoPD and the Baltimore County Government, accepts anonymous tips via phone at 1-866-7LOCKUP, through their website, or via their mobile app.
Hoping to bring the suspect to justice swiftly, the police emphasize the importance of community engagement in solving these crimes. Tips that lead to the arrest and charges in connection with felony offenses may be eligible for the financial reward offered by Metro Crime Stoppers. The collaborative effort to track down the perpetrator underscores the value that the BCoPD places on the safety and security of Towson's business community.
